Our new website and continuing professional development (CPD) programme go live today. The programme has been developed as a pathway to professionalism for members, to expand their skillset and knowledge, and provide recognition for their qualifications and experience.

How does it work and who is it for?
From 1 April, members will accrue CPD points for a variety of activities, including seminars, webinars, FM Summit, workshops, professional reading, mentoring and tertiary study. One CPD point is equivalent to approximately one hour of learning. Members can keep track of points accrued at any time by logging in to the new online member portal.

While participation in the CPD programme isn’t mandatory (except for Certified members), we encourage all FM practitioners who want to advance their careers and keep their skills current to aim for a minimum of 20 CPD points per year.

What do members need to do ?
We will take care of almost everything behind the scenes. All members need to do is select from a range of CPD activities throughout the year to total a minimum of 20 points, register for these events and ensure they attend. We will keep a tally of points accrued through FMANZ events and assess and allocate points for any non-FMANZ activities members submit for consideration via the member portal.
