What’s your favourite part of the job?
With my toes only just dipping into the FMANZ pond at a measly three weeks in, everything still feels fresh and exciting! I’ve loved getting to know our members, learning more about the world of FM and seeing first-hand the incredible work happening across the sector.
It’s also been pretty amazing discovering just how much our small but mighty Ops team gets up to behind the scenes. There’s a lot to take in, but even more to get excited about, and I can’t wait to add my own little mark to the brilliant work already happening.
How did you find your way into the world of FM, and what keeps you here?
Completely by chance, which I’m quickly learning might be how some of the best things happen! My background is firmly in PR, media and communications in the agency world, so FM is a whole new world for me.
My partner is an electrician, which is probably the closest I’d come to facilities management before joining FMANZ! Three weeks in, I’m still very much learning the ropes, but I’m loving discovering just how broad the industry is and how much goes on behind the scenes to keep the places and spaces around us running.

Tell us something people might be surprised to learn about you.
I LOVE to bake. Cakes, breads, cookies, brownies, you name it, I’ll happily give it a go. It’s my ultimate stress reliever, and my friends and family definitely reap the rewards.
And I’m not talking from a box. We’re talking flour everywhere, dishes piled high and made completely from scratch!
What do you like to do when you’re not working?
Aside from baking, I’m a sucker for anything that keeps my brain busy. Puzzles, LEGO, Sudoku, you name it. If I don’t have a book in my hand or a movie on the go, there’s a good chance I’m tucked away somewhere working on a puzzle and refusing to give up until it’s finished.

Morning or night person? I’d love to convince everyone I’m a cheerful morning songbird, but who am I kidding? Night owl through and through.
Beach or lakes? Lakes! Nothing beats a serene mountain landscape reflected perfectly on the water. Give me that view, a good thriller and I’m happy.
Dog or cat? Dogs! As the self-appointed fun aunt to multiple pups, I couldn’t possibly stray away from the team.
Sweet or savoury? Oof, tough one… but sugar is just too good for the soul.
