Mark Sinclair CFMANZ represented FMANZ at a ‘Redesigning Design’ workshop hosted by NZ Infrastructure Commission Te Waihanga and the New Zealand Construction Industry Council (NZCIC) last month in Wellington. The aim of the workshop was to bring together key people from across the infrastructure design system to reimagine the way design services are procured and delivered for government infrastructure projects.
The main points for the FM industry were:
· BIM – artificial intelligence will become more important and essential.
· Carbon reduction will become a necessity.
· There is a need for FM to influence the design outcomes for projects.
“Mark’s attendance at this workshop is a great example of FMANZ increasing its reach in the area of advocacy,” says FMANZ CEO Gillian Wess.
