FMANZ Foundation Gets a Big Boost

By April 3, 2023April 13th, 2023No Comments

Our industry is one of the most important in the country. We look after New Zealanders whenever they’re inside a facility of any description – a school, office, hospital, museum, art gallery, or stadium. Every day, we ensure the safety and well-being of probably the vast majority of people in New Zealand.

Facilities management deserves and needs outstanding talent. And outstanding people, of all backgrounds, deserve a fulfilling career.

That’s why we are re-energising the FMANZ Foundation with an exciting new strategy that we’re rolling out now. With your help, we want the Foundation to be the leading incubator of diverse, excellent talent in Aotearoa.

Working with partner organisations, we’ll identify outstanding New Zealanders and offer them scholarships and vocational support to help them pursue a career in FM. This includes people who are either studying, hoping to study, or early in their career, from backgrounds currently under-represented in the FM industry.

Work on this is already well underway, and we’ll have an announcement very soon about the first of our new scholarship recipients.

Follow our new FMANZ Foundation LinkedIn page to keep up to date on news.

A heartfelt thank you to all our current and recent trustees – Richard Wilson CFMANZ (Chair), Jonathan Jepson FFMANZ (past Chair), Bruce Kenning, CFFMANZ, Simi Mukherjee, CFMANZ, Steve Paulson, Henry Arundel and Veronika Harrison – and to Courtney Swann and Wayne Abel for their input into this new strategy for the Foundation. Ngā mihi maioha.
