Join us for a comprehensive full-day Asset Management course, delivered by FMANZ in collaboration with Āpōpō. In response to strong demand following the popular courses presented by Asset Management expert Priyani de Silva-Currie in May 2024, this course has been specifically tailored for facilities management professionals.

The sessions will build on foundational asset management principles and empower participants to strengthen the Facility Manager’s voice and role within the complex asset management ecosystem. You’ll gain practical tools to help define facilities’ Levels of Service and embed these into procurement and service delivery practices.

The workshop will also cover the application of financial principles to maintenance and operations budgets and programmes. Participants will develop criteria to evaluate asset and service performance, and apply shared learnings to current challenges and recent government changes within the asset management sector.

FACILITATOR


Priyani de Silva-Currie MNZM
Priyani is a Beca Principal and Technical Fellow in Strategic Asset Management, and Vice President of the International Federation of Municipal Engineering (IFME). She has made a significant and sustained contribution to the asset management profession in New Zealand and internationally.

In 2025, she was appointed a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to multicultural communities, netball and civil engineering, and became the first recipient of the Asset Management Chartered Professional (AMCP) accreditation through the Āpōpō Professional Practice Accreditation programme.
Priyani is also the first person globally to be recognised as a Certified Fellow in Asset Management by World Partners in Asset Management, acknowledging her career-long excellence, leadership and influence.

Based in Whakatū Nelson, she continues to advance asset management thinking, education and standards, shaping practice at both national and global levels.
