Waikato FMAMNZ members! Join us for a behind-the-scenes site visit to Purpose Fill’s recycling yard on Ellis Street, Monday 23rd at 4:30pm.
Purpose Fill is leading the way in diverting demolition waste from landfill and finding practical ways to reuse and recycle materials that would otherwise be discarded. During the visit, the team will share how they recover and repurpose a wide range of materials, including batteries, e-waste, and construction waste. One example is their innovative approach to recycling GIB board – crushing it to produce gypsum, which is then resold to farmers as fertiliser.
This will be a great opportunity to see their operation first-hand, learn about their strategy to minimise landfill, and explore how circular practices are being applied in the demolition and construction sector.
