Join your fellow FMANZ Wellington members for a lunchtime tour of 2 Manners Street and hear from structural engineer Manos Bairaktaris about how the building is currently being seismically strengthened.
During this practical session, Manos will share insights into the strengthening approach and walk us through elements of the project. With some of the bracing exposed during the works, this is a great opportunity to see structural strengthening that is normally hidden behind walls.
Located on the corner of Manners and Willis Street, 2 Manners Street is a 14-storey office building in the Wellington CBD currently undergoing seismic strengthening, with some recent fit-outs showcasing contemporary, light-filled spaces.
The tour will run for approximately 30 minutes, followed by time to grab a bite to eat and connect with fellow FMers.
H&S: As building works are currently underway, please wear closed-in shoes.
