Multi-tenancy buildings are inherently complex, involving multiple occupancies, changing fit-outs, diverse contractors, and shared specified systems often managed under a single Compliance Schedule. This complexity can create blind spots where compliance activity occurs in one tenancy, but evidence and coverage across the wider building is incomplete, increasing risk and exposure for building stakeholders.

Trudy is a building compliance specialist and Registered IQP who has 20 years' industry experience with an extensive background in issuing Building Warrants of Fitness (BWOFs) and managing Compliance Schedule reviews and updates across Aotearoa New Zealand. She is experienced in working with a wide range of building types, from single-owner buildings to large, complex facilities and national and regional portfolios.
Shelly Kirk, Technical Officer, BWOF and Compliance Schedule, Tauranga City Council.
Shelley will be available during the Q&A session to answer questions regarding audits and to provide insights from a Territorial Authority perspective.
