Event Description

Listening to Occupants: Smarter Facilities Management Through Feedback

The link to join will be sent to you upon registration.

Occupants experience buildings every day, making them one of the most valuable sources of insight into how a building is really performing. Yet many organisations still rely on complaints or occasional surveys, missing the opportunity to gather meaningful, ongoing feedback that can drive better facilities management decisions.

Drawing on more than 15 years of post-occupancy research across New Zealand, this session explores how structured occupant feedback can help facilities managers identify issues early, prioritise investment, improve maintenance planning, strengthen organisational reporting, and enhance occupant satisfaction.

You'll also be introduced to a New Zealand-developed Post-Occupancy Evaluation (POE) tool that transforms occupant feedback into practical, evidence-based insights for building owners and facilities managers. The session concludes with an opportunity to share your feedback and help shape the tool's ongoing development for the industry.
