The recent instability around the Strait of Hormuz and its impact on fuel markets have significantly impacted the volatility of diesel and petrol prices, which are rising faster and staying higher than crude benchmarks. This is directly impacting logistics, backup generation, maintenance fleets and contractor costs.
EV adoption is now about fuel security, cost predictability and operational continuity rather than simply sustainability. Rapid EV uptake and associated EVSE rollout may be faster than facility risk frameworks were originally designed to accommodate.
In this session, we’ll discuss how facility managers can ensure they appropriately manage electrical loading, maintenance regimes and the increased fire risk profile, including emergency response requirements.
