Hosted at Facilities Integrate, this breakfast session begins with networking over coffee and a light breakfast bite, followed by an insightful presentation from Ben Hosking, Facilities Manager – NZICC. With the centre now open and operating at full capacity, Ben and the NZICC team can share the story behind these remarkable facilities and the lessons learned in opening them to the world.
Drawing on first-hand operational experience, Ben will provide an FM perspective on the diverse spaces in these buildings, the systems that support them, and the practical realities of opening & managing a next-generation venue designed to host events on a global scale, complemented by a 5-star hotel.

Facility Manager – NZICC & Horizon Hotel at SkyCity Entertainment Group
Ben is responsible for the New Zealand International Convention Centre, Horizon by SkyCity, and associated commercial and retail assets. He has played a key role in bridging construction and operations, supporting the successful opening of these landmark developments.
With a Masters in Engineering Management, Ben has made a career in managing & delivering complex technical building services as both a contractor and an FM working across the healthcare, entertainment, public and commercial industries.
Known for his collaborative and solution-focused approach, Ben oversees a significant high-profile portfolio and has quickly established himself as a respected emerging leader in facilities management, recognised for driving operational excellence and building strong relationships across teams.
