When it comes to our key role of supporting education, networking and knowledge sharing for members, we’re very aware we’re in unsettling times, with all FMANZ events moving online for the next three months. The silver lining though is we are close to finalising an exciting online programme packed full of familiar and new offerings. At least once a month we’ll be offering a ‘Knowledge Hour’, a webinar or online workshop, like the lunchtime webinar taking place today with Jonathan Howe, Security & Risk Specialist at Beca. We are also introducing a ‘Network & Connect’ series, which will include an ‘Ask Me Hour’, a one-hour informative session for FMs by FMs with learnings from the coalface. Covering industry-related questions we receive from members via a simple survey. The first of these took place last Thursday. Also included in our ‘Network & Connect’ series will be regular ‘Town Hall Meetings’, which will see the Board and management team presenting initiatives and ideas, with an open floor for questions and discussion.
Also in the mix will be an ‘FMANZ Refresher Hour’ to help you get the most out of your membership, a ‘how-to’ session which will cover topics such as professional membership and logging CPD points in detail. And at a regional level, local branches will be organising social catch-ups. These will initially be on-line but can be in-person at the branches’ discretion. FMANZ fully supports an in-person get-together in a pub or other easy venue once members feel safe doing this, with non-members also welcome.
Details of these events are being added to the Learning & Events page as they’re confirmed and announced in ForuM.
