Are you excelling in your FM role? Going above and beyond in pursuit of excellence? Producing exceptional results? If you're a member of FMANZ and feel you deserve recognition from your peers and the wider FM industry, it's time to blow your own trumpet and tell us about it! Or perhaps you have a colleague you feel is deserving ... a member of your team, a mentor, or a facilities manager or supplier you have been particularly impressed by.

Awards will be presented at the FMANZ Gala Awards Dinner in Wellington on 26 June 2019.

The Brian Happy Award for Facilities Manager of the Year is awarded for outstanding performance by an individual working in the FM profession. The judges are looking for nominees who have applied their experience and knowledge to produce exceptional results within their facility and/or organisation, as well as demonstrating excellent personal qualities.

The Young Achiever of the Year Award is presented to an FM professional under 35 years of age who has shown a strong and on-going commitment to their personal development and that of the wider industry.

The Service Provider of the Year Award acknowledges outstanding provision of contracted-out facilities services. Awarded to an organisation that has demonstrated market-leading performance in service delivery, innovation and value for money, the winner of this award can be either a provider of a range of FM services, or an organisation delivering outstanding performance in a single area of service. These can be hard or soft services provided to any sector of the New Zealand FM market.

Eligibility

Nominees for the Young Achiever Award must be under the age of 35 on 26 June 2019.

Nominees for the Young Achiever of the Year Award and the Brian Happy Award must be Facilities Management practitioners. For the purposes of these Awards, this includes anyone who organises, controls and coordinates the strategic and operational management of buildings and facilities in public and private organisations to ensure the proper and efficient operation of all physical aspects, including creating and sustaining safe and productive environments for occupants.

Nominations must be submitted on an FMANZ Awards nomination form appropriately covering all judging criteria, with a signed declaration.

Nominees must have been a member of FMANZ for 12 months prior to their nomination being submitted.
2019 Awards entries can be self-nominated.

Judges, awards committee members and board members are not eligible to enter.

An individual may nominate only one person/organisation a year in each category.


The Brian Happy Award for Facilities Manager of the Year

This is awarded for outstanding performance by an individual working in the FM profession. Each year we call for nominees who have applied their experience and knowledge to produce exceptional results within their facility and/or organisation, as well as demonstrating excellent personal qualities.

This award acknowledges outstanding provision of contracted-out facilities services. Awarded to an organisation that has demonstrated market-leading performance in service delivery, innovation and value for money, the winner of this award can be either a provider of a range of FM services, or an organisation delivering outstanding performance in a single area of service. These can be hard or soft services provided to any sector of the New Zealand FM market.

Eligibility

The nominee must be a service provider that has been contracted to deliver outsourced FM services.

Either the nominee must have been a corporate member of FMANZ for the past 12 months, or members of its service delivery team must have been individual members of FMANZ for the past 12 months.

Branch and National Service Awards 


FMANZ's Branch and National Service Awards recognise the hard work and dedication of FMANZ members at branch and national level. The 2019 Service Awards will be presented at the FMANZ Gala Awards Dinner on 26 June 2019.


At Branch level there are two awards:

 
  • Service Award

  • Distinguished Service Award


At National level there are three awards:

 
  • Service Award

  • Distinguished Service Award

  • Honorary Fellow


A points system will be used to determine eligibility for these awards, details of which are set out in the FMANZ Awards Nomination form.
