If you haven’t applied to be assessed into a membership category by 1 April you will automatically be allocated Affiliate Membership. This is FMANZ’s entry-level category, perfect for suppliers and those new to the industry. But if you’ve been working in FM for more than two years (or one year with an FM qualification), we strongly encourage you to apply for the highest level you’re eligible for. Becoming an Associate (AFMANZ), Member (MFMANZ) or Certified Member (CFMANZ) grants you a post-nominal, which tells the world you’re an FM professional with a particular level of skill and experience. You can apply after 1 April, but why not start the new financial year with the professional recognition you deserve? As the pinnacle of professionalism in New Zealand, assessment for Certified Membership (CFMANZ) is more involved and has three intakes per year. These are 1 March, 1 June, and 1 September. Find out more here or contact Briar at assessment@fmanz.org.
