Benefits of membership

Individual Membership

Individual Membership supports Facilities Managers in their professional careers. FMANZ is actively working to define and promote Facilities Management practice and striving to encourage the advancement of the profession in terms of delivery and understanding.

All Individual members are admitted initially to the grade of Associate Member and there are opportunities to progress to higher membership levels based on a combination of qualifications and experience. The criteria for membership and the associated fee have been kept to a minimum in an effort to encourage as many people as possible to participate in FMANZ.

Membership always remains with the individual, regardless of who pays the subscription, and is non-transferable and non-refundable. The annual membership fee for Individual Membership is currently $150-00 inclusive of GST. There is no further discount for group membership. Memberships are renewable on the anniversary of joining.

Your annual membership fee entitles you to receive the following benefits:·

* Attendance at the quarterly FMANZ Breakfast Seminars in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. These informative sessions provide an invaluable opportunity to network with peers and colleagues within the FM industry.

* Attendance at "members only" FMANZ Branch events and seminars in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch and the opportunity to participate in FMANZ development workshops/training classes at member's rates.

* Up to four issues of “Facility Perspectives”, the journal of the Facilities Management Association of Australia (published in March, June, September and December).

* The opportunity to develop and shape the Association in defining a distinctly New Zealand Facilities Management profession.

This website will be an ongoing source for up-to-date information on events and relevant industry news and a Members Only area will contain information on Members events and benefits.

Corporate Membership
Corporate Membership has been introduced so that an interested organisation may join to show support for the Association and interact with it's members. A Corporate Member shall have a single vote exercised by a named representative, but is also be able to send up to two representatives to any national or branch event, including "members only" events, during the subscription year.

These representatives will not have any voting rights and are not able to participate in any personal development programme or apply for a higher grade of individual membership. Corporate Members are listed, but not endorsed, on this website in the Corporate Member Directory. The cost of Corporate membership is $750 per annum plus GST. Corporate memberships are renewable on the anniversary of joining.

FMANZ has been formed to define and promote professional Facilities Management practice. To this end the association, in time, aims to:

  1. Promote FM as a recognized profession to the property industry, government bodies and public.
  2. Develop FM practice within New Zealand to encourage advancement of the profession in terms of delivery and understanding.
  3. To take a leadership position on key matters where value can be added.
