NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Pursuant to clause 8.3.1 of the current Constitution notice is hereby given of the Association’s Annual General Meeting.

We invite you to join this meeting in Auckland, Wellington or Hamilton on Thursday 10th August, or view on Livestream (Link will be provided at a later date).

AGM will commence live in Auckland and via Livestream nationally at 5.00pm, and will conclude 5.45pm - 6.15pm.
In Auckland the AGM will be followed by an informal networking event, with drinks and light food provided. In Hamilton and Wellington you can enjoy drinks and snacks during the AGM.

Call for Nominations - Board Member Elections
The Facilities Management Association of New Zealand is an Incorporated Society governed by a national board of eight elected Members. Board members retire by rotation and may offer themselves for re-election as provided by the Constitution.

In accordance with clause 5.2.3 of the Constitution, nominations are invited from Members for vacancies on the Board from the following geographical Regions:

Northern Region:
There are two retiring positions. 

Central Region:
There are no retiring positions this year.

Southern Region:
There are no retiring positions this year.

Nominations must be signed by two Members from the Northern Region, and lodged with the Chief Executive at ceo@fmanz.org by 5pm on Thursday 27 July 2017. If more than two nominations are received, Northern Members will vote at the AGM. 

If you are interested, an information pack is available from the Board Chair, Bruce Kenning, who would welcome the opportunity to discuss this opportunity with you. It is important that candidates understand the time required to commit to the Board role, which will also require you to serve on several of the Board Committees. You should allow 2-3 hours a week for this voluntary role.


Notices
Any notices of resolutions from Members for consideration at the Annual General Meeting must be received by the Chief Executive by 5pm on July 27th, 2017. Please send these via email to ceo@fmanz.org.

The meeting will be live-streamed from Auckland.
Branches in Hamilton and Wellington will facilitate local participation.
Following the AGM you are invited to join your fellow FMers for an informal catch up with drinks and light foods provided.
